I think that I am going to have a turning point over winter break and really fix my life up. I am unsure exactly how this will happen but I really feel as though it will happen. I do not want anything to mess up my future and the last thing I am going to want to worry about is physical problems.

As the semester ends, I have realized how important reading for my classes is. I believe I could be an all A student if I just took the time out of my week to read. I actually love reading so thats not exactly the reason that has drawn me away from completing it this semester. I think that the actual sitting down and avoiding my friends to do the work is what has been a hard for me. At the beginning of the semester my social life was crazy and I was constantly doing things with friends and never around my dorm really. Now, I had time for myself during the day and I am not constantly running around or trying to manage plans with people.

I think its a beautiful thing when someone can talk and understand someone else. Some people just have a gift to warm others hearts. I feel so stress-free to have people in my life whom I feel so comfortable talking to.
“In the midst of global crises such as pollution, wars and famine, kindness may be too easily dismissed as a “soft” issue, or a luxury to be addressed after the urgent problems are solved. But kindness is the greatest need in all those areas — kindness toward the environment, toward other nations, toward the needs of people who are suffering. Until we reflect basic kindness in everything we do, our political gestures will be fleeting and fragile.
Simple kindness may be the most vital key to the riddle of how human beings can live with each other in peace, and care properly for this planet we all share.” - Bo Lozoff

The feeling of getting over something and moving on from it is an amazing feeling. I have moved on from almost everything in my past. I feel like I am a new person and that I have created a better more improved life for me. Although you cannot forget about the past I have found ways to not think about certain events more than others. It is a really great start for me so I am extremely happy to continue to live my life this way.

My car has been breaking down a lot recently and I really want it to work for when I need to drive home for thanksgiving. I have yet to drive it today to see if it works. I have hope that it will turn on so that I can drive it down the street to the garage. My dad said he will get me another car, I am so excited to start a new “car life” when I get another car!

A lot of days when I’m in my dorm I wonder what other people are doing. I think about the people across the hall, the people down the street from my dorm, the people in the city of Norfolk, and the people around the world. There is different times and different areas. My mind could wonder for hours and days just thinking about how much is going on outside of my dorm.

I would really love to become a grief counselor when I graduate from college. Today I really became interested in it because I had to do a research project on it. Grief counseling is an awesome way for anyone to understand and learn about grief. It also is a good way to get help during the time of a loss and to have someone to just listen to. I hope to help children and teens to really offer them help when they’ve lost something that is extremely important to them or have been through a death of a loved one. My mother passed away when I was 15 and grief counseling was truly my only way to express my feelings and get comfort. I want other children and teens to know how beneficial grief counseling or grief groups are

The holidays are coming up and I can not wait to see what my family has in store. I think the holidays are a great time for families to come together or for even just friends. I always think about how other families, states, countires…share their holidays different. I think it would be cool to be able to spend a holiday with another families culture or tradition.

Today I really realized how much of a great relationship I have with my roommate. Even though her and I do not hang out, we still get along great and always have a lot to talk about when were together. I love college and I kinda really like doing homework as well!

My father and I are fine. Our relationship is working out so far. I love college so much and its amazing to be so free and alone yet so close. I miss my old home. I miss the things that reminded me of love and family. I miss the pictures that gave me warmth and the face of my mother. Change is good I guess.
A lot of things in my life have changed and I have noticed changed in other people’s lives. I will not go into details or say names but I would love to wash those thoughts away right now. I have found a love in drawing. Drawing is what helps my thoughts run away like the pen on the paper. I sometimes listen to music to give me a sense of relaxation. Drawing has definitely become my secret way to express my emotion.
I am going to apply for jobs soon…probably at a restaurant. My dad gives me $50 every week because I do not have job right now, so I will use that money to buy art supplies at the art store. I am so excited to start drawing a lot again.
